Cairn at the ticket office forecourt of the glacier lift

Lanersbach 492, Tux
The Tux waterfalls tumble foaming into the valley: rock cauldrons, natural rock bridges, caves, gorges and the protected screw waterfall leave us amazed and calm! With a view of the beautiful Kesselfall, we start our "Nature Watch Tour" up to the Schraubenwasserfall. We cross the rustic forest on a narrow path and pass the so-called "Walfischmaul", a split block of stone in the shape of a fish's mouth. The highlights of the hike are the imposing gorge and the beautiful valley basin at Waldeben. From there, we comfortably descend back to the valley station of the glacier lifts to Hintertux.

Duration: approx. 3-4 hours; of which 2.5 hours are pure walking time
