The Bernina red train for those who do not know is a train of the Swiss railways that connects Tirano in Alta Valtellina with Chur in Switzerland by crossing the Canton of Grisons. It is the highest railway in Europe, and the Bernina train has been operating for more than 100 years, having also become a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2008. Its route winds slowly between bridges, viaducts, tunnels and galleries and reaches an altitude of more than 2,2oo meters at the Bernina Pass.
It is amagical experience, especially when the shimmering white of the snow is interrupted only by the shimmering red color of the train. Kilometer after kilometer, the eyes are lost in an endless white expanse and filled with stupendous contrasts, perfect for immortalizing with your camera!
