Guided Waalweg hike in Schluderns

This circular hike, which connects two Waalwege, leads through a real piece of the Vinschgau Valley with its contrasting landscape. We meet at 09.40 in front of the hotel entrance and walk together (approx. 10 minutes) to Laces train station. There we take the train and then the bus to Schluderns. From the village center we climb up the Calvary to the three large crosses with the impressive crucifixion group. We follow the Leitenwaal through meadows and fields and reach the Ganglegg archaeological excavation site. The Waalweg trail continues along the mountainside through the forest into the Matsch valley. We reach the water intake of the Waal at the rushing Saldurbach stream, cross the wooden bridge and hike back out of the valley on the opposite side of the mountain. The Waal ends above the Churburg castle. We walk to the train station and return to Latsch. You need the MoblilCard for public transport.
