"Yang Qi - Taoist health exercises & Chi Kung"

Yang Qi includes elements of Taoist massage in addition to the Taoist health exercises and chi kung described above.

We have developed the Yang Qi program, which means "vitality in tranquillity - replenish the stores", for those affected by Long COVID. It combines different elements from the wealth of exercises and is strengthening for every situation.

24 Taoist health exercises

The Taoist health exercises are based on the principles of Yin and Yang in Tai Chi Chuan. In the individual exercises, certain aspects of the various movements are practiced: Raising and lowering arms; shifting weight left and right; bending and straightening the knees, etc. Depending on the time available, the exercises are repeated 5-10 times. Some exercises are performed in synchronization with the breath. Not all 24 exercises are suitable for beginners. Normally the exercises serve as preliminary exercises before starting the Tai Chi Chuan form.

The martial art of Tai Chi Chuan is based on three main pillars: meditation, energy work (Chi Kung) and the Tai Chi Chuan form. Breath control is an essential force that is used for execution. There are numerous exercises to bring the body mentally and physically into a condition that enables the martial art of Tai Chi Chuan to be practiced. I have selected a few of these and described them briefly. The description first serves to help you understand what it is all about.
