A snowy Advent evening high up on the mountain

On December 21, 2025, the Alpbachtal Mountain Advent will take place for the first time between the Wiedersbergerhornbahn mountain station and Gasthof Hornboden. From 17:30 to 21:00, the area at the mountain station will be transformed into a snow-covered, fairytale Advent world high above the valley. On the longest night of the year, a romantic winter ambience awaits you at 1,850 meters above sea level with Tyrolean Advent music and a contemplative atmosphere for young and old - easily accessible with the Wiedersbergerhornbahn.

Between crackling fireplaces and snow-covered peaks, brass bands, Anklöpfler, an elementary school class from Alpbach, the theater association and a parlor music group provide Christmas sounds at various locations. Another highlight is the illuminated LED walking acts that move around the area and the Alpbacher Bergbahnen photo station, where you can take a souvenir photo and download it free of charge.

Food and drink are also well catered for: fresh kiachln from the Alpbach bakers and hot dishes from the Alpbach Mountain Rescue Service, Alpbach Ski Club and Alpbach Nativity Scene Association are available to enjoy. The Kolberhof complements the offer with regional specialties such as bacon, cheese and Kaminwurzen, while other stands with their craftsmanship invite you to browse. The Gasthof Hornboden is a pleasantly warm place to stop for a bite to eat, while mulled wine, punch and hot chocolate at various stalls provide enjoyable moments in the wintry mountain scenery.

For younger guests, there is a craft station in the warm area of the mountain station where they can get creative and make little memories.

No big market hustle and bustle, but a relaxing get-together in the Tyrolean winter wonderland - warm, atmospheric and authentic.
