The Woodcutter Museum Ruhpolding
This special museum, opened in 1988, is dedicated to the life and work of the lumberjacks (forest workers, foresters) in the former Traunstein salt works area. The development of the technology is made clear by numerous exhibits.
The adjoining open-air area shows woodcutter's huts in a diversified way, stagings on woodworking and interactive stations. Situated in the middle of the Chiemgau Alps, the museum grounds invite you to enjoy the atmospheric surroundings. Only 15 minutes walking distance from our Chalet Resort.
