Start: Emil-Riedel-Straße 52 - BASISLAGER
1) Access from the hotel to the Fichtelchen adventure trail at station 14 (Vierenstraße 11A - near the playground/skater park). This station is a 1.7 km walk and can be reached in approx. 20 minutes.
2) By car, as there is a large parking lot at the starting point, which is free of charge in summer.

The Fichtelchenpfad is a newly designed adventure trail in the spa town of Oberwiesenthal, which is specially designed to introduce children to the nature of the Ore Mountains in a fun way. It is the perfect destination for families looking for a relaxed hike with little discoveries.It is named after the mascot "Fichtelchen". It accompanies hikers on colorful information boards and tells exciting stories about the forest and its inhabitants. There are various play and learning stations and a playground along the way. Children can balance here, solve puzzles or learn more about the local flora and fauna.
By the way, the CHRISTKINDWEG in Boží Dar and the FICHTELCHEN ERLEBNISPFAD in Oberwiesenthal will both be renovated with action elements and seating from 2021-2027. The project objective: The hiking trails of the two figures will be linked across borders to create a shared adventure route for children and families.
