From the apple barn, take the farm track to the district road and then turn right towards Rackel. In Rackel, we turn left at the large junction in the middle of the village and cycle along the path past meadows to the avenue of Baruth Castle. There we turn right and follow the avenue past the castle to Dorfstraße. We follow Dorfstraße to the left and continue to the church. There you can visit an exhibition about bats. We then follow the road to Dubrauke. On the right is the former Baruth manor, where an agricultural museum is to be set up and a meadow orchard has already been created. The path takes us past the former basalt works. A guided tour is available on request. Lined by old pear trees, the path leads us to Neudörfel, where a 2-hectare meadow orchard is being created and can be visited. After turning left in Kleinsaubernitz, we continue right past the Olba river to Wartha. If the temperature is right, you can take a dip in Lake Olba. A permanent natural history exhibition can be visited in the House of a Thousand Ponds in Wartha. The route continues past Lömischau to Guttau. Along this road there is already an exemplary new row of orchards with around 70 trees. In Guttau, we turn right and then right again to Salga. From there, we take the path to Malschwitz, where the barn café along the way invites us to take a break. Refreshed, we make our way to Kleinbautzen, where we turn right at the district road and then left shortly afterwards. Pastor Adam Gottlob Schirach worked in Kleinbautzen and a beautifully designed monument with a rest area is dedicated to his commitment to beekeeping. From Kleinbautzen, continue straight on along the district road and turn left after the village onto the road to Cannewitz. On this road there is an old stand of street trees of the regional apple variety "Lausitzer Nelkenapfel", which gave the tourist cycle path its name. Once in Cannewitz, we reach the apple barn, the destination of the cycle trail.
