A more challenging hike with spectacular views
Take the toll road up to 1,800 meters to the Schlegeisspeicher.
From there, hike toward the Olpererhütte. The ascent takes about 1.5–2 hours. - From the Olpererhütte, it’s just under 2 minutes to the Instagram hotspot—the suspension bridge over the reservoir—and then the trail continues via the Neumarkter Runde back to the parking lot (2.5–3 hours).

🥾 🥾 🥾Difficulty: moderate to difficult ‼️ Sure-footedness and very good stamina are required!
🍽️Place to stop for refreshments: Olperer Hütte
Equipment: sturdy, ankle-high hiking boots, a spare T-shirt, water bottles, a snack, sunscreen, rain/wind jacket, cash for refreshments. (In the fall: hat, gloves, warm jacket)

- Tolls and transportation costs will be charged on a pro-rata basis. There are 8 seats available on our hotel bus. If the bus is already full, please follow us in your own car.
