Mountain biking in the Karawanken
With the support of an E-MTB, you'll definitely make it! Inspired by the bizarre mountain peaks of the Karawanken chain and the green alpine meadows, you pedal with motivation towards today's destination - the Klagenfurter Hütte. With your own bike or a rental bike, you start in Mühlbach/ St. Jakob im Rosental, on the Drau cycle path R1, in the direction of Feistritz im Rosental. The route continues uphill on asphalt through the picturesque Bärental valley to the old Stouhütte hut. From here, the route continues along a beautifully landscaped forest road to the Klagenfurter Hütte.
TERMINALS: Every Wednesday from June to October
DESTINATION: 9 am Landhotel Rosentaler Hof, Mühlbach 28, 9184 St. Jakob im Rosental
DURATION: approx. 5 - 6 hours
PRICES: € 55,- instead of € 65,- per person incl. E-MTB € 29,- instead of € 35,- per person without E-MTB
SERVICE: Certified bike guide and, if booked, the rental bike
SPECIAL NOTES: Tour only for sporty cyclists with an average level of fitness.
Technically demanding descent. Children from 15 years. Approx. 50 km and 1,200 m difference in altitude.
