DEZ shopping center in Innsbruck

25,000 visitors come to the DEZ every day. When the DEZ opened in Innsbruck on September 24, 1970, no one could have imagined what a success story the then "square box on the outskirts of the city" would write. With 11,000 m² of retail space, 700 parking spaces and anchor tenant Interspar - then called Vita-Center - shopping center pioneer Walter Hess heralded a new dimension in Austrian retailing in 1970 on the outskirts of Innsbruck. DEZ was the first shopping center in Austria.
