Lake Millstatt

The vacation region of Millstätter See is not only known for numerous mountain & lake experiences, but it is also home to many excursion destinations & places worth seeing. With a length of 12 kilometers and a width of 1.8 kilometers, Lake Millstätter See is Carinthia's 2nd largest bathing lake near Spittal an der Drau. At 141 meters, it is the deepest and most water-rich lake in the country. Larger towns, such as Seeboden, Millstatt and Döbriach are located on the north side of the lake. They are all ideal starting points for wonderful hikes in the Nockberge mountains around the lake. The southern shore is natural and almost undeveloped. The water temperatures are up to 26 degrees in summer.
