From Obermais to Saltaus on the Maiser Waalweg trail

This trail winds along partly wooded slopes from Obermais to Saltaus.

At Planta Castle, the tour initially starts past orchards and vineyards. The view of Schenna with its castle, church and mausoleum soon becomes clear.

Particularly interesting the Waalerhaus, with the Waalschelle, if you have reached this, then you are almost at the end point and can stop in the guest garden of the Torggler Hof cozy for Marende or coffee and cake, before you take the bus in 5 minutes at the Hirzer cable car station back to Merano.
