Summit Hike with Lake Views to the "Joggl" Edelweiss Mountain

The Joggl is our hotel’s local mountain—the trailhead is right outside the door.

A wide forest trail (No. 10) winds its way up through the woods at a steady, gentle incline, offering wonderful views of the lake along the way. This takes you to the Grauner Alm (2,173 m), affectionately known locally as “Vivana”—an unstaffed alpine pasture with rustic charm.

Beyond the alp, the trail continues a short distance eastward into the Vivana Valley before Trail No. 10 branches off to the left, heading north. Now it gets especially beautiful: across flower-filled slopes where edelweiss blooms in summer, the trail ascends to the saddle between Joggl and Hengst. From there, the trail leads up steep slopes to the summit.

The summit cross itself stands a little lower down, on a prominent rocky outcrop—and this is exactly where your reward awaits: a fantastic 360° panoramic view that stretches far beyond Lake Reschen.
