Alpine Taxi from Igls to the Profeglalm & back from the Meißner Haus

Enjoy a hike that’s especially close to nature and perfect for families in the idyllic Viggartal valley near Ellbögen—a hike that gets off to a relaxed start thanks to the Almentaxi service from Igls.

Every Wednesday at 10:15 a.m., a minibus takes you along the Panoramastraße to the Profeglalm at 1,800 meters, from where you can explore the well-marked hiking trail on your own toward the Meißner Haus at 1,700 meters. The easy route between Profeglalm and Meißner Haus is ideal for leisurely hikers, nature lovers, and anyone looking for a simple hike off the beaten path; the walking time is approximately 1 hour. Once there, you’ll have about 5 hours to spend hiking and stopping for refreshments before the return trip departs from the Meißner Haus at 4:30 p.m.

The meeting point is the Igls Tourist Information Office, Hilberstraße 15, 6080 Igls. Please remember to bring hiking or mountaineering boots and appropriate clothing. With a valid Welcome Card, the corresponding terms and conditions apply; the card must be presented to the driver before departure; free cancellation is possible up to 48 hours before the start of the tour. Should the tour be canceled due to insufficient participation, inclement weather, alpine hazards, official measures, or other unforeseeable circumstances, any participation fees already paid will, of course, be refunded in full.
