We invite you to a hike with hiking guide Martin.

Parcines village (625m) - Fasser Knöttl (770m) - Salten (800m) - suspension bridge (700m) - Parcines village (625m)

Highlight: The Partschinser Waalweg, which runs above the village of the same name in the Burggrafenamt district, offers wonderful vantage points from which to admire the whole of the Val d'Adige valley.

Route:

Take the hotel bus to Parcines/Partschins. The Partschinser Waalweg begins about half an hour's walk above the centre of Partschins. We start in the centre of the village and follow the signs "Sagenweg - Waalweg" in an easterly direction. We reach Vertigen via Spauregg and Römerstrasse. After a short, steep climb, you can hear the sound of water. It is the outflow of the Partschins stream. Dense deciduous forest and scrub surround the path, and where the forest thins out there is an impressive view high above the Merano basin.

At the western end of the Waal we reach the Zieltal valley, where the famous Partschins waterfall is located. However, we go in the opposite direction - downhill: along the Zielbach stream to the suspension bridge and then back to the village of Parcines/Partschins.

Difficulty: easy hike with some slightly uphill sections.

Height difference on the ascent: 225 metres

Walking time: about 2 hours

Gear: sturdy walking boots; sunscreen or raincoat; water bottle.

Departure: 10.00 am in the hotel lobby

Registration deadline: 21:45 the evening before at reception
