From there, a steep alpine path leads up to the highest point of our hike, the 1496 m high Rankenkopf. Once at the top, we enjoy a wonderful view of the impressive backdrop of the Hohe Tauern. After a leisurely break with a snack that we have brought ourselves, we continue through the forest to the high moor. We now hike downhill on a forest road to Wasenmoos.
