Stand-up paddling is one of the most beautiful ways to actively experience the nature around Mariazell. As you glide silently over the water, you can enjoy the tranquillity of the landscape and the view of the surrounding mountains. The Erlaufsee and Lunzer See lakes are particularly popular, with their crystal-clear water and impressive natural scenery offering ideal conditions for SUP. Stand-up paddling trains balance, strength and endurance at the same time, making it both a sporting activity and a relaxing nature experience.

For a relaxing break in between, there is a 70 m² bathing jetty with comfortable daybeds at Lake Erlaufsee - the perfect place to relax and enjoy the view. Other lakes in the area also offer excellent conditions for SUP tours. Lake Lunz, around 20 km from Mariazell, is considered one of the most beautiful natural lakes in Lower Austria. In nearby Mitterbach, the Erlauf reservoir with its impressive landscape also invites you to further water adventures.

Tip: SUP is particularly suitable in the early hours of the morning or in the evening, when the lakes are particularly calm and the mountain landscape is reflected in the water.
