Circumnavigation of the Steirersee

Our hike begins at the Tauplitzalm parking lot. From there, we cross green alpine pastures and pass the Linzerhütte and Grazerhütte huts. Our first stage destination is the Steirerbankerl, from where we can catch our first glimpse of the Steirersee lake. We then descend to the Trawenghütte, from where we begin our circumnavigation of the lake. The route leads over stone and root paths below the Sturzhahn in the direction of Schwarzsee, which we see halfway around the lake. After a short rest, we return to our starting point at the Trawenghütte on the other side of the lake, where we can stop for refreshments with a stunning view of the lake and mountains before returning to the parking lot via a forest path.
