Every first Sunday from May through October, the alpine pastures and mountain inns at the foot of the Hirzer open their doors for a special culinary experience. Whether it’s hearty dumplings, homemade Schlutzkrapfen, sweet cakes, or a traditional South Tyrolean Brettljause—here you can savor authentic alpine cuisine at its finest.
To top it off, there’s live music, a rustic atmosphere, and cozy spots to soak up the sun with sweeping views of Merano and the Passeier Valley. The cable cars and lifts offer discounted rates on this day, so you can head out into the hiking area in comfort and relaxation.
