Rugged beauty and wild romance await you on this snowshoe hike around the Matreier Tauernhaus. The national park rangers will show you exciting natural secrets and fascinating insights into the largest national park in the Eastern Alps. Golden eagles and bearded vultures can be found here - with a bit of luck, you can observe one of these majestic birds of prey through a spotting scope in their natural habitat.


🏔️Details: Guided ranger hike including snowshoes for the tour. (Online registration required!)


📍Meeting point: 9.30 am Matreier Tauernhaus - parking lot


🏔️ Difficulty: Easy, leisurely circular hike with lots of explanations. For adults and families with children aged 8 and over.


🥾 Your equipment:

+ sturdy mountain boots with a good profile - (NO moon boots)

+ winter-proof clothing including hat and gloves

+ sun protection

+ rucksack with snack and drink

+ ski poles


🌟 You can borrow a rucksack and ski poles free of charge for the tour from most hosts.
