Alpine life on the Innerkapellalpe

Life on the alp is characterized by intense experiences of nature and, at the same time, by hard work. The day of a dairymaid or dairyman often begins before sunrise and doesn’t end until the evening hours. On the way to the Innerkapellalpe, you’ll hike through a diverse cultural landscape, past lush meadows and open forests, with sweeping views of the Montafon mountains along the way. This scenic and informative tour offers insights into daily life on the alp—accessible, authentic, and full of stories.

Meeting point: 10:30 a.m. Hochjoch Bahn Schruns valley station

Route: Kapell mountain station – Innerkapellalpe – Kapell mountain station

Duration: approx. 4.5 hours (walking time only: approx. 2.5–3 hours)

Ascent and descent: approx. 350 m elevation gain
