This short circular trail at almost 3,000 m above sea level offers pure high alpine mountain and glacier feeling.

The circular trail starts at the Längfluh mountain station and goes up to the first hill next to the Steinhaus and the breathtaking view of the Saas-Fee glacier. After the lift house, the ropes of the lifts are crossed underneath. The cairns lead to the rocky ledge and to the glacier lakes, which have formed due to the retreat of the glacier.

These lakes invite you to linger. The highest mountains in Switzerland are reflected in the water and rise up almost endlessly on the left side. The view streaks northward to the triumvirate of Fletschorn, Laggin and Weissmies. Apart from the other guests, only the wind from the glacier can be heard, otherwise silence. The power of the mountains and the glacier ice can be felt everywhere.

At the end of the circular route, you return to the mountain station.
