The magic of a mountain lake

We take a cab from Lanersbach to the Hobalm. This alp lies below the Geiseljoch, an early pasture for the cattle of the Frauenchiemsee monastery. On a forest road we hike along the Hobarbach to the rustic Vallruckalm. There we enjoy the snack we brought with us and the panoramic view out of the valley. Then we make our way to the Eiskarsee, which is often still frozen well into spring. After descending to the Vallruckalm, we make our way back via the Nederjoch - with its countless alpine roses - and the Nasse-Tux-Alm, before fortifying ourselves at the Geiselhöfe. The cab will take us back to Lanersbach.
