In Yin Yoga, poses are held for several minutes without physical exertion to promote deceleration and fascial relaxation. The deep layers of the body are stimulated, tension is released and flexibility is improved. This meditative practice is based on seated and lying postures that are held for long periods of time and harmonize the body, mind and soul.
