On February 2, Candlemas—or 40 days after Christmas—the time has come: All of France eats crêpes. That’s because February 2 is a Christian holiday known to the French as LA CHANDELEUR.

On Candlemas, a yellow crêpe symbolizes the sun—and thus the light!

And of course, we celebrate this day here as well!
