Castle Hohenwerfen, which is over 900 years old, is enthroned on the steep rocky cone high above the Salzach Valley and is one of the most popular excursion destinations in Salzburger Land.

Our tip -> Don't miss the impressive birds of prey show at the Landesfalkenhof. Falcons, vultures, eagles and other native birds of prey show off their flying skills several times a day and give an insight into the centuries-old art of falconry.

Bird of prey show times:

May to July 19 | 11.15 am and 3.15 pm

July 20 to 21. August | 11.15 am, 2.15 pm and 4.30 pm

22 August to 8 November | 11.15 am and 3.15 pm

Opening times summer:

May to September: daily from 09.00 am - 5.00 pm

October and November: Tuesday to Sunday from 09.30 am - 4.00 pm
