Hohenwerfen Castle, which is over 900 years old, is enthroned on the steep rocky cone high above the Salzach Valley and is one of the most popular excursion destinations in Salzburger Land.

Our tip -> Don't miss the impressive birds of prey show at the Landesfalkenhof. Falcons, vultures, eagles and other native birds of prey demonstrate their flying skills several times a day and provide an insight into the centuries-old art of falconry.

Birds of prey show times:

April to July 16: 11:15 a.m. and 3:15 p.m.

July 17 to August 18: 11:15, 14:15 and 16:30

August 19 to November 5: 11:15 a.m. and 3:15 p.m.
