Trekking excursion - Glaciological trail to the Ovens Glacier

Discover the wonderful itineraries selected by our collaborator and mid-mountain guide Giulia Giudici.

Starting from Rifugio Forni we will walk along the high glaciological path until we reach the Tibetan Bridges, from which we will be able to have a close look at the Forni Glacier, which after the Adamello Glacier is the largest in the Italian Alps.

Crossing the bridges we will take to the other side of the valley, thus reaching Rosole Lake and the Branca Refuge, from which we will be able to admire the marvelous scenery offered by the Thirteen Peaks that connect Mount Cevedale to Pizzo Tresero.

Meeting time and place: 9:00 a.m. in La Fonte parking lot, Santa Caterina Valfurva

Notes: packed lunch, possibility to eat at Rifugio Branca

Each hike will be done with a minimum of 6 people.

Registration for each hike is mandatory and must be done by 4 p.m. the day before the outing.

It is the guide's right to modify/cancel the hike in case of particularly bad weather conditions. It is recommended that participants bring all necessary equipment for the day (food, drinks, clothing, sunglasses, protective creams, own medications etc.).
