Tenuta J. Hofstätter

Tenuta J. Hofstätter is a historic family-owned winery located in the wine village of Tramin in South Tyrol. Founded in 1907 by Josef Hofstätter, the estate is now managed by the Foradori Hofstätter family and is considered one of the region’s leading wineries. Over the generations, the winery has successfully combined tradition with innovation, becoming a pioneer in the production of single-vineyard wines.

One of the winery’s distinctive features is its “Vigna” philosophy: Hofstätter was the first winery in South Tyrol to classify wines according to individual vineyard sites, highlighting the unique identity of each terroir. The estate is especially renowned for its Gewürztraminer and Pinot Noir wines from iconic vineyards such as Kolbenhof, Barthenau, and Yngram. Today, the family’s vineyards extend from South Tyrol to Trentino and even to Germany’s Mosel region, where they also produce outstanding Rieslings.

The winery offers guided tastings, cellar tours, and vineyard experiences, allowing visitors to discover the estate’s philosophy and wine culture firsthand. Guests can also visit the wine shop and purchase the wines directly on-site or through the winery’s online shop.
