The Badia Valley was probably settled by a pre-Roman indigenous population and can rightly be called the "Land of the Ladins". The way of life and language of the oldest Rhaeto-Romanic people in the Alpine region has remained very much alive here and is also characterised by the centuries-old, proud agricultural and craft culture!
The Museum Ladin "Ciastel de Tor" in the castle Thurn offers an entertaining introduction to the history, the language, the culture, the legends, the archaeology, the geology, the tourism and the handicraft of Ladin.
