3*** Small Aifner | Hike with Benni

A summit with character - those who climb the small Aifner are not only rewarded with breathtaking views of the Inntal valley, they can even see the large glaciers of the Kaunertal valley. Stop off at the Aifneralm, where you can enjoy cheese specialties from the alpine dairy and other Tyrolean delicacies. The 2450m "high" Kleine Aifner with its high alpine character is an incomparably beautiful and imposing summit. The summit slope in particular, with its boulder-like path, requires good footwear, but don't worry, everyone will be able to manage it. As this mountain is climbed via a north-facing slope, snow contact is possible until June. The route starts from the alpine pasture, first through beautiful stone pine forest, but soon climbs up to a very broad ridge with a wonderfully eroded rock slab that offers an impressive view of the Venet massif opposite.
