Kufstein Fortress

The former fortress is now a much admired cultural highlight and fascinates visitors of all ages every day with an attractive and eventful program.

Tour

On an individual tour of Kufstein Fortress, you can explore the impressive open area with the fortifications so typical of fortresses, such as the Elisabeth Battery with its cannon guns or the castle roundel, at 21 different stations. You can also take a look into the approximately 60-metre "deep well" and discover the secret of the underground rock passage. Finally, you can visit the various museums as well as the changing special exhibitions and much more.

Events have been taking place here ever since the fortress was built

There has always been a lot going on at Kufstein Fortress. They just didn't used to call it an event, but a plunder and conquest. Fortunately, that has changed: Today, there are no longer armies at the gates of the fortress. Instead, this unique venue can host up to 4,200 guests for every conceivable type of event - be it open-air events in the roofed fortress arena, individually planned private or corporate events of all kinds or seminars and incentives as well as weddings.
