Go-Karts of the Mountains
These modern three-wheeled speedsters are pure fun. In any case, the Mountaincarts are worth making a special trip to the Plose just for them.
Anyone who loves sledding on our RudiRun sledding track in winter will come back in summer to whiz down the 9 km route from the Plose cable car’s mountain station to the valley station in a Mountaincart. A wonderful experience for young and old alike—and one that no South Tyrol vacation should be without!
Size & Age
- Children aged 3 and up may ride on an adult’s lap.
- Children aged 12 and older or at least 150 cm tall may ride alone.
- Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
- Hours & Operation:
June 7 – Sept. 6, 2026: 10:00 a.m. – 5:45 p.m.
September 7 – October 4, 2026: 10:00 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.
Operating days:
June, September & October: Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday
July & August: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday
August 10 – 16: Daily
In case of rain, snowfall, or thunderstorms, the Mountaincarts may be temporarily closed.
Due to high demand toward the end of the day, availability cannot always be guaranteed until closing time.

The cart rental is located in the info shop at the top station of the Plose cable car

- A helmet is provided with every Mountaincart.
Please wear appropriate footwear (sandals are not suitable!).
- Terms of Service
All regulations and terms of use for the Mountaincart rental service
- The cart rental opens at 10 a.m. and closes 15 minutes before the cable car. Mountaincarts can be rented during this time, but availability cannot be guaranteed until closing time if there is heavy traffic toward the end of the day.
- A helmet is provided with every Mountaincart. Please ensure you are wearing proper footwear (sandals are not suitable!).
- Mountaincarts are rented at the Info Shop at the Plose cable car mountain station.
- Minimum height: 140 cm
- Minors must be accompanied by an adult
- Price: €13/ride, helmet included
- Use of equipment at your own risk
