Nestled in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park lies the Maltatal Donkey Park—a lovingly designed family park featuring over 100 animals on a 30,000-square-meter adventure meadow. Here, the focus is on the animals and direct interaction with them. In addition to many different breeds of donkeys, the park is also home to llamas, alpacas, ponies, goats, sheep, rabbits, guinea pigs, and many other animal residents.
What makes the Donkey Park special: Visitors are not only allowed to observe the animals but also to pet them and, in some cases, feed them. Children can gain their first experiences with these gentle animals on guided donkey rides and romp to their heart’s content on the large playground.

You can reach the Maltatal Donkey Park in about 50 minutes via the A10 Tauern Autobahn.
Tip:
The Donkey Park can be wonderfully combined with a trip to the Fallbach Water Adventure Park or the famous Kölnbreinsperre.
