The Roda de Pütia, the Ladin name for the circular route around the Peitlerkofel / Sas de Pütia, is one of the most important hikes for all lovers of the Dolomites and South Tyrol.
The route starts in front of the Ütia de Börz mountain hut and after just half an hour takes you to the Prà de Pütia, the Pütia meadows, right in front of the steep north face of the mountain of the same name. The hike continues along the slopes of the mountain until the ascent to the Forcela de Pütia, the highest point of the route and a possible starting point for the ascent to the summit, which is described below. Here the panorama opens up, allowing us to admire the meadows below and the peaks of the Puez-Geisler and Fanes-Sennes-Prags nature parks. From here we descend to the meadows of Cialneur, a long stretch of gentle pastures dotted with huts. The trail continues to the Göma Pass before descending again to the Würzjoch.
