Under the title "CRYPTICHON", three artists from Mainz are showing their latest works in the rooms of the Waldhotel am See in Berlin-Schmöckwitz.

Cryptichon is an artificial word made up of cryptic = secret, hidden, causing difficulties in understanding and triptych = three-part altarpiece (three painters).

What the painters Will / Schmelter / Richartz have in common is their interest in the depiction of psychological impulses in human physiognomy.

The Waldhotel uses human portraits to present an excursion into "the best of all possible worlds", the world of diverse re-sayings.
