After reaching the Dürrenstein hut we then trek uphill to today's destination, the Strudelkopf.\n\nThis snowshoe hike offers a breathtakingly beautiful view of the Dolomites: the Three Peaks seem close enough to touch, the Hohe Gaisl, the Seekofel, the Cadini Group, Monte Cristallo and the Tofana... you really will not know where to look first.\n\nHistorically this place has a lot to offer too as it was a hotly contested front during the first world war where an Austro-Hungarian fort (recently restored) served to secure the Pragser Valley.
