Guided hike through the Rosengarten group

Tour description:

Our tour begins with an ascent on the Tiers convertible cable car, which takes us to the Frommer Alm. From here, we take the König Laurin 1 and 2 panoramic cable cars, which take us directly to the Kölner Hütte at 2,337 m above sea level. This is where we start our hike. From the Kölner Hütte, we take trail no. 550 up to the Tschagerjoch (2,630 m), the highest point of the tour. Here we enjoy a magnificent view of the surrounding Dolomites. From the pass, we descend on a well-maintained path to the Vajolethütte (2,243 m). Trail no. 541 continues up to the Grasleiten Pass (2,601 m), another impressive viewpoint in the middle of the Rosengarten group. From the pass we descend to the cozy Grasleitenhütte (2,134 m), which welcomes us with warm refreshments. From the Grasleitenhütte, we continue downhill into the picturesque Tschamin Valley, a wild and romantic valley lined with impressive rock faces. The descent via trail no. 3 takes us through shady forests and along babbling brooks until we finally reach our destination of Weißlahnbad.

Refreshment stop: Grasleitenhütte

Difficulty: Technically difficult hike, surefootedness and very good physical condition required

Useful information / What to bring

Alpine footwear and clothing suitable for hiking, rain jacket, sun cream and headgear, water bottle;

Eventual tickets for mountain railroads and lunch are not included.

The guest pass for the use of public buses is available free of charge for our guests at reception.

We recommend the 3 in 7 or 5 in 7 Mountain Pass. This allows you to conveniently use the various exit facilities in the area. The mountain pass is available at the tourist office and at the Tiers cable car.
