Snowshoe hike: to Melköde
From the Auenhütte toward Schwarzwassertal to Melköde.
Every Tuesday and Saturday from December 22, 2026, through April 3, 2027.
We’ll take it easy on this half-day snowshoe hike. We’ll set out from the Auenhütte toward the Schwarzwassertal. Along the way, we’ll traverse a labyrinth of boulders, hike past the Schwarzwasserbach waterfall, and immerse ourselves in a magical winter wonderland. Beginners will experience snow and winter in a whole new way on this tour. Relaxation for all the senses is included. During a short break, everyone can enjoy the snacks they’ve brought along.
Duration: approx. 2.5 hours
Meeting point: 1:30 p.m., Ifen Valley Station—in front of the Snowcompany Shop
Price: €54.00, including snowshoes and poles; avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe—if necessary (rental available)
Minimum participants: 4 people; open to ages 12 and up (must be accompanied by an adult; minimum shoe size 36)
Prerequisites: Physical fitness for ascents of up to 200 hm and walking times of up to 3 hours.
Equipment: Sturdy, ankle-high boots (mountaineering boots) or hiking boots, winter clothing, and a backpack with some provisions.
