🏔️ Here's what awaits you:

The Messner Mountain Museum Corones (MMM Corones) is located at 2,275 meters, right on the summit of Plan de Corones, and is dedicated to traditional mountaineering. It is part of the Messner Mountain Museum network conceived by Reinhold Messner and uniquely combines mountain history, philosophy, and breathtaking views.


✨ Highlight:

The museum was designed by the renowned architect Zaha Hadid and is largely nestled into the mountain. Large panoramic windows and viewing terraces offer spectacular views of the Dolomites and the surrounding Alps.


🧭 What to discover:

Inside, everything revolves around the history of mountaineering over the past 250 years. On display are historical equipment, memorabilia from famous mountaineers, works of art, photographs, documentaries, and Reinhold Messner’s personal perspective on mountain sports.


🕒 Hours:

Summer: May 16–November 8. Winter: November 29 through April 19. Open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., last admission at 3:30 p.m.


🚡 How to get there:

The museum is not accessible by car. Access is only possible via the ski lifts from Reischach, Percha, Olang, or San Vigilio di Enneberg.

Ideal for anyone who wants to experience the mountains, architecture, and Alpine history in a unique way. Also a great option in case of bad weather, especially when combined with a visit to the Lumen Museum.
