On horseback, this unique 2-day tour takes you through the wild and romantic Dorfertal valley up to over 2,100 meters. Vast alpine landscapes reminiscent of the prairies of the Wild West spread out before you. You can feel the wind on your face while a feeling of boundless freedom accompanies you.

After an eventful ride through this impressive scenery, the cozy Johannishütte awaits you. Here, surrounded by the tranquillity of the mountains, you can relax and recharge your batteries for the day ahead.

⛰️ Details:

1st day: Start at almost 1300 m. Walk, trot and canter for approx. 15 km towards the head of the valley. Then ascent in serpentines and past rushing mountain streams and rugged rocks. Breathtaking views of the Lasörling group. Lunch at the Johannishütte, 2,121 m in the Hohe Tauern National Park. Then a leisurely exploratory ride in the terrain - at the foot of the Großvenediger. Dinner and overnight stay at the hut.

Day 2:After breakfast at the Johannishütte, saddle up and ride into the valley. Detour into the Mauertal valley to our mountain pasture - lunch break with refreshments. This is followed by a brisk ride home along the glacier river ISEL, back to the Ortnerhof.
