The circular route begins in the center of Montal, near San Lorenzo, and leads through meadows and forests, passing two bunkers:

Bunker No. 10

The bunker on display is No. 10, which was already fully operational in 1942. Equipped with weapons (cannons and machine guns), it was even prepared for a possible attack with nuclear weapons. Now privately owned, the bunker can be visited upon request by locals and tourists on a guided tour.

The Pleasure Bunker

A relic from World War II-a tunnel carved into the rock-has been converted and now houses the maturing of South Tyrolean and international dairy specialties. Montal's "Genussbunker" is the first in South Tyrol to be adapted for the aging, maturation and storage of dairy products.
