Winter/snowshoe hike through the Carezza hiking area

Discover the winter idyll of the Carezza ski area on a snowshoe hike beneath the impressive rock faces of the Catinaccio/Rosengarten - a winter experience that will enchant you.

Tour description:

After taking the Tiers cable car, we take the public bus to the Kaiserstein bus stop, from where we start our hike. The first part of the hike takes us first downhill to the Moseralm and then uphill via the Kölblegg-Frinwiesen to the Kuregg, below the Kölner Hütte at 2,000 m. After a short descent, we reach the Messnerjoch mountain hut, where we stop for lunch. The subsequent descent takes us back to the Tierser cable car.

Walking time: approx. 4 hours

Ascend: approx. 500 m

Descent: approx. 500 m

Difficulty: Moderately difficult hike, good basic fitness required

Refreshments available: Messnerjoch

Snowshoes, Grödel poles, hiking poles and rucksacks can be hired at reception

Eventual lift costs are not included

You are welcome to order a packed lunch at breakfast (for a fee)

Please always take a bus pass with you (available free of charge at reception)

The tour also takes place when there is little snow, without snowshoes
