Details

The Auenland ride takes you through the green hinterland around Salem. The Salem Monkey Mountain awaits you. Here you can observe more than 200 Barbary macaques and, if you feel like it, go on a climbing tour in the treewalk. The circular trail across the grounds also shows you a stork colony and the idyllic stork pond. Shortly afterwards, you will roll along a particularly charming section that feels almost like a small jungle and is simply perfect for enjoying. Your next stop is the imposing Salem castle and monastery, surrounded by magnificent gardens.

In the middle of nature, you will then find the Leustetten barbecue area. Here you can take a spontaneous break or let off steam with a barbecue and games by prior arrangement. The soccer pitch, swings and table tennis table offer variety for young and old. Finally, the route takes you to the historic wooden bowling alley in Weildorf. On event dates, you can even hit the ball yourself and enjoy the village flair while being entertained. On the way back to Markdorf, the Schlosssee lake invites you to cool off. The little ones will also get their money's worth here - a large water playground offers plenty of adventure.

All in all, the Auenland tour offers you plenty of nature, exciting excursion destinations and insights into the region's history. Have fun exploring.
