On the Waldbergbauernweg to Suachbichl

The Waldbergbauernweg trail in the Martelltal valley is exciting. We take the hotel bus to the starting point of our tour. The hike takes us past mountain farms and the so-called Kandlwool. These hollowed-out logs are fed by 2 springs and have been distributing water to the surrounding farms for centuries. Numerous information boards give us an insight into the farmers' way of life and work, so that we not only get to know the nature but also the culture of the region. Finally, we reach the Suachbichl at an altitude of 2,050 m and a fantastic 360° panoramic view opens up before us. The curved wooden benches invite you to dream and linger, so that you won't want to leave this place. A few patches of residual snow in the shady woodland are to be expected.
