Beautiful snowshoe hike from Ahorn to Filzenkogel, 2,200 meters of elevation gain.

Meeting point: 10:00 a.m. in the underground parking garage

Departure: Shortly after 10:00 a.m. from the hotel

Route length: 5 km total

Elevation gain: 200 meters uphill, 200 meters downhill

Total walking time: approx. 3 hours

Difficulty: moderate

Refreshment stops: Filzenstadel or Ahornhütte

Cost of mountain railway ticket: 40€ (Guest cards are sent via email, which entitles you to a 6€ discount)

Depending on the weather, changes may occur on short notice; for this reason, an alternative hike may be arranged. Please note the following items of equipment you should bring. Snowshoes, hiking poles, and backpacks are provided free of charge by the hotel!

Equipment for winter or snowshoe hikes:

Please bring the following equipment for the tour:

- Daypack

- Hiking boots with good tread, good insulation against the cold, waterproof, and

ankle-high!

- Good ski or hiking socks

- Backpack with enough drinks and a light snack, approx. 1 L of hot beverage

in a thermos, granola bars, fruit bars, etc.

- Technical jacket (windproof, waterproof, and breathable), winter-weight pants, a change of shirt, a hat

, and gloves; possibly gaiters

- Sun protection: sunglasses, sunscreen (SPF 30–50),

lip balm

- For snowshoe hikes: snowshoes and trekking poles (available at the hotel!)

- A little money for a snack break
