Family Program (for hotel guests)
A guided, varied circular hike through unique biotopes—rare, legally protected habitats—that is easy to navigate even for families with children, despite some uphill sections. Streams, bogs, wet meadows, marshes, and nutrient-poor grasslands, mixed mountain forests, and cattle pastures are home to a unique flora and fauna; this area is designated as a nature reserve and is part of the European “Natura 2000” network. Two specially designated and outstanding nature reserves! Typical of our Upper Black Forest south of the Feldberg: a rich mosaic of great biodiversity in a very small area!
OUTBOUND: We’ll take the bus from the Sternen stop, line 7215, heading toward Kirchzarten; departing at 9:42 a.m., either to Muggenbrunn to the Säge stop (arriving at 9:49 a.m.) or, by arrangement, continuing to the Notschrei stop (arriving at 9:51 a.m.)—please bring your Konus card.
RETURN TRIP: We’ll take the bus back to Todtnauberg, arriving around 12:39 p.m.
PLEASE REMEMBER:
- Clothing suitable for the outdoors, the season, the Upper Black Forest, and the weather, plus sturdy winter shoes (with traction), layered according to the “onion peel” principle (to regulate body temperature, depending on the route’s ascents and descents)
- a small snack pack (depending on your personal needs), including plenty of warm drinking water or tea.
Not suitable for strollers.
You will receive confirmation the evening before the program takes place. If you cancel your booking/reservation with us after that, we will charge a cancellation fee of 95 EUR per person.
We nevertheless reserve the right to cancel the program if the minimum number of participants is not reached.
