But what makes the music of this country special? Is there an unmistakable "Bavarian sound?"

The Bavarian State Exhibition 2026 "Music in Bavaria" invites you on a musical journey of discovery through the history of music from April 25 to November 8, 2026 in the new TonYversum building in Freyung.

Let's get started in the Cineplex cinema with a specially made film - powerful and touching. Then immerse yourself in an exciting production full of rare originals, captivating stories and interactive stations. From the past to the present. From the spectacular to the everyday. To marvel at and to join in. The region in the middle of the Bavarian Forest becomes a stage!

For 199 days, the motto is: Då spielt d' Musi! - Under the motto "This is how Bavaria sounds", there are concerts, performances and events every day in pubs, market squares, churches and forest clearings. There will be rocking and jamming, yodeling and swinging, dancing and singing.
