Tibet Ice Freeride Fun at the Stelvio Pass

We start from the bike store and shuttle to the top of the Stelvio pass, using the few meters of altitude to the Tibethütte to acclimatize and get used to the thin air on the king of Alpine passes. Then it goes into the Tibettrail over the Signalkopf from the pass road invisibly circulates against valley, the imposing images of the glacier tongues of the Ortlergruppe always in front of us. Hairpin bends, flowing passages, hairpin bends, simply ingenious this descent, down to Trafoi, the hometown of the legendary skier Gustav Thöni. After almost 1,100 meters of descent in Trafoi, we take the chairlift to the Furkelhütte and stop there to enjoy the impressive view of King Ortler. Strengthened, we then go over trails to Stilfs and down to Prad, where we then decide whether to return via the Via Claudia on foot, or with the Vinschgau train. If the tour is done over the 7-wells and back to Latsch, we come to over 3,000 meters of descent! The tour is one of the highlights in the Vinschgau Valley, but is technically not to be underestimated. We recommend protectors!
